How long have you been a member of PUSH?
Since 2012, before they officially opened
What made you choose PUSH over other gyms in the area?
Originally, it was the location. Just five doors down from my residence. Once I met PJ and Jen, it was clear I made the right choice.
What is your favorite thing(s) about working out at PUSH? Has your experience been different in any way than experiences you've had at prior facilities?
I really appreciate the ebb and flow there. No matter how many people are there, I can move between my different exercises and machines. But my most favorite things are the owners and staff.
What was the experience or motivating factor that compelled you to join PUSH?
I was at the heaviest point in my life. After loosing about 8 pounds on my own, I needed more education in the whole weight loss process. My first training session with LaMarvin opened up a new world to me, and it was clear what choices I had to make to be successful.
What is your favorite exercise or thing to do at PUSH?
I love squats and upper body, such as chest press and tri/bicep. I also discovered how much I enjoy the elliptical.
What fitness goals do you have for yourself going forward?
At the age of 55, I don’t want to be super slim or muscle bound. I just want to be healthy and keep good muscle tone and strong bones.
What is your profession?
I’m a one on one job coach for students with special needs.
Are you married? Kids? Pets?
Single and very much in love with my man, one daughter, a parrot and mastiff dog
What do you do in your spare time? Provide us with some fun facts about yourself
I love riding my Harley, and 7 speed bike. When at home, I enjoy making wine and knitting
What is your guilty pleasure? (TV show, sweet treat, etc.)?
Nacho cheese Doritos with onion dip. And I don’t know how this happens, but on Sundays when my honey is golfing, I keep turning on Saved By The Bell on MeTV.
If you could spend the day with one person (living or not) who would it be and why?
My dad. We lost him two years ago. He spent his whole life singing, and when I lived at home, or went back to visit, he would always ask me to accompany him on the piano. I’d love to hear him belting out “La Donna e mobile” one more time.
What is your dream vacation spot?
Tuscany
If you win the lottery, what's the first thing you buy?
A new car for my daughter, then lots and lots of yarn
What is your favorite book or movie?
White Christmas with Bing, Danny, Rosemary and Vera-Ellen
What makes you laugh the most?
Practical humor. The things that go haywire in everyday life.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
Pizza
