How long have you been a member of PUSH?
Since it opened up.
What made you choose PUSH over other gyms in the area?
Well location was key for me. It was right down the road from where I was living at the time.
What is your favorite thing(s) about working out at PUSH? Has your experience been different in any way than experiences you've had at prior facilities?
Well, I came from a very purple and yellow gym (*cough*). I liked how accepting they were of people of all types of athletic ability whether, cross fit, body builders, power lifters or just someone who wanted to keep healthy. Everyone was treated well and appreciated. It's not a "niche" gym. I like that.
What was the experience or motivating factor that compelled you to join PUSH?
Was there someone who influenced you to join?Well like I said, the location was great. On top of that though, the staff are super friendly and the equipment is well maintained and clean! I really like that.
What is your favorite exercise or thing to do at PUSH?
I like to lift weights mostly. Cardio is important as I'm getting older so I'm also doing more of that lately.
What fitness goals do you have for yourself going forward?
I'd like to have a leaner muscular physique. Size and strength are important in my line of work so I'd like to keep working toward that and keeping in better shape so I can keep up with my 2 year old daughter haha.
What is your profession?
I'm a State Correction Officer. I work at Willard Drug Treatment Center as a drill instructor.
Are you married? Kids? Pets?
Yes I'm married to my beautiful awesome wife. As I stated before I have a very active 2 year old daughter. I also have a 3 year old Cane Corso (dog) named Vincenzo who eats more than I do!
What do you do in your spare time? Provide us with some fun facts about yourself
I'm a bass player in a couple bands around Rochester. I like to snow board and OneWheel with my wife around town. I'm also a huge comic book and video game geek.
What is your guilty pleasure? (TV show, sweet treat, etc.)?
Does it count if I don't feel guilty haha? I love doughnuts! One good look at me and you could tell that's pretty obvious. I love watching world strongest man competitions and I used to be addicted to Days of Our Lives (sorry, not sorry).
If you could spend the day with one person (living or not) who would it be and why?
Jaco Pastorius: He's was a musical genius who died way to soon. One of the greatest bass players in the world.
What is your dream vacation spot?
Bora Bora. Looks amazing!
If you win the lottery, what's the first thing you buy?
A food truck called "The Fat Wagon" and I'd make the most delicious gourmet meals you'd ever eat and only charge a dollar. At the end of the day what ever food I didn't sell I'd donate to the homeless shelters around Rochester. Then I'd probably buy land... a lot of land.
What is your favorite book or movie?
Movie: Army of Darkness
Book: The Dark Tower series by Steven King.
What makes you laugh the most?
Probably my daughter, which makes it very hard for me to parent! On top of that I love anything random and off the cuff. I find humor in everything.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
When I was in South Carolina I had a sandwich once... It was eggs, bacon, fried chicken and a maple aioli between two Belgian waffles... I would eat that for the rest of my very short life haha.
Is there is anything else that you would like to tell us about yourself?
Im a big believer in community and people. I want people to have good days and good lives. That being said if you ever see me at Push and you need a spot or just help in general don't hesitate to ask. If I can help you make your day better I'm happy to help.
