How long have you been a member of PUSH?
Since it opened, February 2012
What made you choose PUSH over other gyms in the area?
I've been a member of the other gyms, Push was new, with new equipment with a new clean positive atmosphere and continues to be. Push is also about 2 blocks from where I live.
What is your favorite thing(s) about working out at PUSH? Has your experience been different in any way than experiences you've had at prior facilities?
Push has first class personal trainers and instructors. All are quick to answer questions you may have. Classes of all types are offered at convenient times, as well as a large variety of equipment to use and plenty of it.
What was the experience or motivating factor that compelled you to join PUSH?
I needed to get off the couch during the winter months. Push being around the corner makes it easy to get off the couch.
What is your favorite exercise or thing to do at PUSH?
Grit!! I joined grit almost 3 years ago because it offered a small group setting which is almost like having a personal trainer.
What fitness goals do you have for yourself going forward?
Total body fitness, keep my body moving so I can enjoy an active lifestyle
What is your profession?
I am a Mechanical design engineer.
Are you married? Kids? Pets?
Married, 2 grown children (living out of town) who I bring to Push when they are in town. Pets, 1, 14 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd.
What do you do in your spare time? Provide us with some fun facts about yourself:
Photography occupies a lot of my free time, Wildlife, Landscapes, Portraits. I also ride a motorcycle. I plan a 4 day trip each year for rider friends of mine. Last year I lead 28 guys/motorcycles to the Gettysburg bike week event. This year (our 10th year) is to the Back of the Dragon in southern Virginia.
What is your guilty pleasure? (TV show, sweet treat, etc.)?
Ice Cream...fairly plain flavors. I'm not fond of sprinkles and candy bar pieces mixed in.
If you could spend the day with one person (living or not) who would it be and why?
My Grandmother Maude Dillon. She died when my father was 16. I got to know her from working with my dad on some 500 negatives my Grandfather left us. It would be cool to talk with her and get her view point of my aunts and uncles (her children all 8)
What is your dream vacation spot?
I like rural areas, Colorado mountains are nice, maybe the Sierra Nevada mountains. Banff in Alberta Canada would be nice.
If you win the lottery, what's the first thing you buy?
Vacation, I have only 13 of the 50 states that I have not been in. I would fulfill that dream.
What is your favorite book or movie?
The movie the Guns of Navarone, my Dad took me to see this when I was quite young. It still comes to mind.
What makes you laugh the most?
A good joke! One that pokes fun at all the goofy stuff we find ourselves doing.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
Is there is anything else that you would like to tell us about yourself?
